The Chicago Blackhawks have traded forward Brandon Segal to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for future considerations.

Segal, 28, has recorded 13 goals, 12 assists and 63 penalty minutes in 53 regular-season tilts with the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs this season. He made his National Hockey League debut with Tampa Bay in 2009.

The Blackhawks will host the Detroit Red Wings at the United Center tonight (Feb. 21) at 7:00 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast locally on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and nationally on NBC Sports Network (outside Chicago market), and can be heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
