AHL Suspends Versteeg, Burish

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Norfolk Admirals right wing Kris Versteeg has been suspended for four (4) games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Hershey on Apr. 7.

Versteeg was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 70 for leaving the players' bench and starting an altercation.

Versteeg will miss the Admirals' regular-season games at Philadelphia on Friday (Apr. 13), at Albany on Saturday (Apr. 14) and at Bridgeport on Sunday (Apr. 15), as well as Game 1 of the Admirals' East Division semifinal playoff series (TBD).

The American Hockey League has also announced that Norfolk Admirals right wing Adam Burish has been suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Hershey on Apr. 7.

Burish was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary
discipline) for his high-sticking infraction in the third period of the game.

Burish will miss the Admirals' game at Philadelphia on Friday (Apr. 13).
