1st Star: D Adam Clendening, Rockford (AHL)
The Line: 4GP, 3A
On Thursday, Clendening was named to the American Hockey League's First All-Star Team, becoming the first player to earn an All-Star Team nod in each of his first two seasons since Dan Boyle in 1999 and 2000. Over the weekend, the 2011 second-round draft pick picked up three assists in two games for Rockford. Clendening continues to lead the IceHogs offensively, posting a career-high 59 points (12G, 47A) in 73 regular-season games so far this season.

2nd Star: D Justin Holl, Minnesota (BIG10)
The Line: 2GP, 1G
Holl helped the Golden Gophers reach the NCAA title game last weekend, scoring a last-second shorthanded game-winner—his first tally of the season—against North Dakota in the Frozen Four semifinals. The 2010 second-round pick finished his senior season with 13 points in 39 games.

3rd Star: D Mathieu Brisebois, Rockford (AHL)
The Line: 4GP, 1G, 2A
Brisebois contributed three points (1G, 2A) in four outings for Rockford last week, netting the game-winner and adding an assist on Saturday in a 3-2 win over the Iowa Wild, before recording a helper in a 4-2 loss at Chicago the next night. Brisebois has seven points (2G, 5A) in 11 games since being acquired from the Phoenix Coyotes at the trade deadline.
Honorable mentions: C Alex Broadhurst, Rockford (AHL); LW Brandon Mashinter, Rockford (AHL)
Broadhurst scored both goals in Rockford's 4-2 loss at Chicago on Sunday for his second multi-goal game of the season. The rookie ranks second among active IceHogs with 44 points (16G, 28A) in 73 games this season.
Mashinter tallied in Rockford's 3-2 win over Iowa on Friday, then picked up his 20th assist of the season the next night, setting a career in helpers. The left wing has 27 points (13G, 14A) in 45 games with the IceHogs this season.
Around the system:
- North Dakota fell 2-1 to Minnesota in the NCAA semifinal game on April 10, ending the seasons of junior defenseman Nick Mattson and freshman forward Luke Johnson. Mattson finished the campaign with four goals and 22 points in 40 games, while Johnson racked up 21 points (8G, 13A) in 42 contests.
- Boston College had their championship hopes halted with a 5-4 loss to Union on Thursday. Senior forward Kevin Hayes tallied two assists in the game and finished the season with 65 points (27G, 38A) in 40 games.
- Defenseman Stephen Johns picked up two assists in four outings for Rockford last week and now has three points in his first six AHL games... Teuvo Teravainen scored in his AHL debut with Rockford, tallying the only goal in a 4-1 loss to Milwaukee on Friday... Pierre-Marc Bouchard opened the scoring for the IceHogs in Saturday's win over Iowa.
- Maxim Shalunov collected five points (3G, 2A) in four games last week for Toledo to conclude the ECHL regular season; he posted 34 points (18G, 16A) in 43 games with the Walleye... Byron Froese recorded five points (1G, 4A) the last four regular-season games for Cincinnati in the ECHL. The Cyclones will begin their playoff campaign against Orlando beginning this weekend.
