The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation's (CBF) Building Champions Program is a 6-week after school program fostering social and emotional learning through sports that is run at Fifth Third Arena located at 1801 W. Jackson Blvd. During the first five weeks, students learn about key life lessons gained from being a member of a team through group discussions and physical activities. During week six, students celebrate the completion of their program by skating on the ice.
The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation has partnered with Pilot Light to create Healthy Hawks, a one-day program consisting of two parts. One part of the program will be in a classroom where students will prepare a healthy snack. The other part will focus on physical fitness and take place in the gym.
Family Skate, presented by Gunzo's, is a Chicago Blackhawks Foundation program that aims to incorporate non-profits that serve families. Participating groups will have the opportunity to attend a public skate session at Fifth Third Arena at no cost to them.
