Wojtek Wolski's tally against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 10 was named the Avalanche's "Play of the Week" for the Jan. 9-15 timeframe. Wolski's goal, which received 47.44% of fan votes, beat out a Ryan Smyth marker (19.22%) and an Andrew Raycroft save (33.33%), both of which came against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.

Wolski Dazzles Pens – 1/10 vs. Pittsburgh Wojtek Wolski broke a 2-2 tie with the Penguins when he made a pass to Ryan Smyth, skated into the Pittsburgh zone, took a return feed and beat Sabourin over his left shoulder. The goal, which came midway through the second period, was Wolski’s 11th of the season.
