U.S. Women's National Team To Take In Avs Game

by Ryan Boulding / Colorado Avalanche

There will be a couple famous spectators in the stands at Pepsi Center on Tuesday as the Colorado Avalanche takes on the San Jose Sharks, ones that many in the hockey world might recognize.

Nine members of U.S. Women’s National Team will be at the contest, taking in the sights, watching the game and even signing autographs during the first intermission.

The squad is in town this week for its training camp at the University of Denver before heading off to the Four Nations Cup in Kamloops, British Columbia on Nov. 4-8.

Players in attendance will include two-time Olympic silver medalists (2010 & 2014) Brianne McLaughlin, Hilary Knight, Jocelyne Lamoureux, Kacey Bellamy, Monique Lamoureux and Molly Schaus and 2014 Olympic silver medalists Anne (Annie) Schleper, Brianna Decker and Megan Bozek.

Former Avalanche defenseman Ken Klee will also be in the house as he is the head coach of Team USA.
