The votes were tallied and you, the fans, selected Ryan Smyth's tally against Los Angeles as the Avs’ “Play of the Week” for the period of Oct. 18-24. Smyth's goal received 60.5% of the voting, beating out Milan Hejduk's marker that same night (11.7%) and Peter Budaj's flurry of saves against Edmonton on Oct. 23 (27.8%)
Smyth's play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.
