Richardson Cleared to Play

by Staff Writer / Colorado Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that forward Brad Richardson has been given clearance by the Avalanche medical staff to play and has been reassigned to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate in Cleveland, the Lake Erie Monsters.

Richardson has been sidelined since the season opened with a wrist injury that he sustained during off-season workouts just prior to training camp.

The Belleville, Ontario native posted career-highs in games played (73), goals (14) and points (22) last season with the Avalanche. Richardson notched three shorthanded goals and three game-winning goals during the 2006-2007 season.
