Celebrate San Jose Sharks 2021 March 3

Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog each had four-point performances and Philipp Grubauer denied each shot sent his way to help the Colorado Avalanche earn a 4-0 victory at the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday.
Rantanen had two goals and two assists while Landeskog had a marker with three helpers. Landeskog's tally came on the power play, the 55th man-advantage goal of his career. Nazem Kadri had two helpers while Samuel Girard found the back of the net and Nathan MacKinnon collected an assist.
Grubauer made all 26 saves and recorded his third shutout of the season, the 14th of his career.

Colorado concludes its four-game road trip with a 3-1-0 record.

ROSTER REPORT

Colorado utilized the same personnel as it did in its last outing on Monday in San Jose. Goaltender Philipp Grubauer started his 17th game of the year.

INJURY UPDATE

Nathan MacKinnon left the game 8:08 into the third period after a collision in the neutral zone. Defensemen Bowen Byram and Cale Makar are each day-to-day with upper body injuries, while veteran forward Matt Calvert is also day-to-day with an upper-body ailment. Pavel Francouz (lower body), Dennis Gilbert (upper body) and Erik Johnson (upper body) are all out long term with their injuries.

UP NEXT

The Avalanche returns to the Mile High City to begin a nine-game homestand on Friday at Ball Arena. Colorado opens the homestay with a back-to-back against the Anaheim Ducks.
