Colorado Center Ryan O’ReillyON SCORING TWO GOALS
It is definitely nice to contribute, no matter what type of game it is. We had a pretty good game and now we just have to keep this going. ON FINALLY GETTING THE WIN
I think we just wanted to get the win. Getting two losses definitely wasn’t good and we wanted to respond and get the win. This builds confidence and builds momentum going into our next game, and now we have to get back to those winning ways. Colorado Left Wing Gabriel LandeskogON FEELING MORE COMFORTABLE ON THE ICE
Every day I feel better and better and I’m learning a lot every day. I think today our line got some scoring chances as well and we buried the puck a couple times. I had a couple of good shots in the frame there, but those will come. ON GETTING HIS TIMING RIGHT
I feel my timing is there. I feel my game is going the right direction. Those scoring chances and goals will come. As long as we are creating chances, the goals will come as well. I’m not too worried about that right now; just keep working hard and our line is doing great. We got the win today so we’re happy. Dallas Center Toby PetersenON PLAYING LAST NIGHT CAUSING THE SLOW START
I don’t think that was a problem. We only had two guys play last night. We traveled in today and played today so it is hard to say what it was. We came out a little flat, we had trouble getting our legs going, but at least we can say that it is preseason and we’re fortunate that that is the case.” ON NOT SCORING ON THE EARLY POWER PLAY
I don’t think it set the tone on how we came out for the rest of the game, but obviously it had an impact on the scoreboard. It is early in the season and we have been working on a lot of even strength stuff, 5-on-5 stuff, and we haven’t spent a lot of time on the 5-on-3 stuff. We didn’t have a lot of guys today that would normally be in that situation. It is tough early in the game and not get the 5-on-3 going. It would have been a big goal for us if we could have got it. Dallas Defenseman Philip LarsenON THE GAME
They got an early power play goal and I think they were playing with a little more pace than we were doing. I think we got better as the game went on, and we tried to come back but they played well defensively.
ON NOT TAKING ADVANTAGE OF EARLY 5-ON-3 POWERPLAY
5-on-3 is a great opportunity to score goals, and unfortunately we didn’t score and it gives them a little momentum that they can kill a 5-on-3 for two minutes. I think we battled real hard and we played a real good game.
