With the tail end of Tuesday including travel to a different city, the Jr. Avalanche got one last look of Stockholm in the morning. The boys headed to the Ericsson Globe to check out the Globen Sky View gondola ride.
"We went into this glass ball that took us up to the top of the Globe to see the whole view of the entire city," left wing Owen Miedema said. "It was scary at first because it was a weird feeling moving so high up in an elevator outside, but once we got up to the top it was really cool."
The Ericsson Globe, which may ring a bell to some Avalanche fans, was the host of the 2017 NHL Global Series where the Avs matched up against the Ottawa Senators for two regular season games in November.

Following the Sky View, the team headed to the Mall of Scandinavia, which is known as the largest mall in all of Scandinavia. Just prior to entering, the team snapped a quick picture outside of the neighboring Friends Arena, home of AIK's professional soccer team.
Friends is a Sweden-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to the prevention of bullying that educates schools and sports clubs throughout Sweden. Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog is an official ambassador for the organization. Arvada Hockey Association was the first Colorado team to partner with the Colorado Friends chapter and continues to push the narrative of bullying prevention in the sport of hockey.
After some free time in the mall, the peewees headed to the Silja ship terminal and boarded the Serenade cruise ship; their mode of transportation to Helsinki, Finland.

"That was my first time on a cruise, the ship was huge. I couldn't believe that it was big enough to have stores and stuff like that inside. Whoever designed that is a genius," Owen said. "At first we roamed around checking out all the shops. We played some hide and seek, which was fun because there was so much space. Then we played with the mini frisbees for a little and hung out in each other's rooms before curfew."
The team will arrive in Helsinki on Wednesday morning to start their Finland tour, beginning with its second exhibition game of the trip in the evening versus Haukat. This will be the team's first test against the top level of Finnish Pee Wee hockey and it will face Haukat again in the Nordic Hockey Trophy tournament this weekend.
