The Colorado Avalanche began its final day of the three-game road trip in Winnipeg, with a contest set against the Jets. 

Colorado started the game day with an optional stretch at the team's downtown hotel at 10:00 a.m. Most of the players had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant before going to one of the ballrooms to get loose prior to the morning meeting with the coaches.

Colorado gets ready for the Jets

The Colorado Avalanche woke up Friday morning in a rather warm Winnipeg, or at least relatively warmer.

When Colorado was last here in December, temperatures were around minus-30 degrees Fahrenheit, but Friday's high temperature was in the mid-20's. Now, that doesn't factor in the wind chill, but it is still warmer than when the club is usually in the Manitoba capital.

J.T. Compher makes his NHL debut

The Colorado Avalanche players began game day preparations for the Ottawa Senators on Thursday at the team's downtown hotel, holding a stretch and then a meeting with the coaches.

The first team activity of the day was an optional stretch at 11:00 a.m. While the session lasted for an hour in one of the ballrooms, many of the players showed up in the latter half of the period after having breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.

The Avalanche makes several moves while the team prepares for the Senators

The Colorado Avalanche began the first day of March in Canada's capital city of Ottawa, Ontario. The team had a practice scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Canadian Tire Center, the same time as the NHL's Trade Deadline.

The Avalanche begins its road trip against the Flyers

The Colorado Avalanche had a normal game day morning on Tuesday, or at least it new normal, as it did its final preparations for the contest against the Philadelphia Flyers at the hotel instead of the arena.

Colorado still had some players go to the Wells Fargo Center and skate, but most of the club stayed at the hotel and took part in an optional stretch. Both goaltenders and the scratches for the game were the members of the squad that went to the rink and did drills with assistant coaches Tim Army and Dave Farrish.

Colorado heads out for a three-game road trip

Following a 5-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres at home on Saturday night, the Colorado Avalanche had an off day on Sunday to give the players some much needed rest with a rare two days between games.

With an early practice and flight ahead for its trip to the East Coast, the players arrived at the Avs' practice facility by 7:30 a.m. on Monday in preparation for the skate and travel. Before taking the ice, the team grabbed a little breakfast and had some meetings to go over video of Colorado's victory versus Buffalo.

The Avalanche closes the road trip against the Hurricanes

The Colorado Avalanche is on its last day of the season-long road trip, and it concludes with a game against the Carolina Hurricanes. The team arrived in Raleigh close to 1 a.m. the previous night, so rest is key for the players as they get ready for the second half of a back-to-back and fifth contest in the last seven days.

The Avs play the fourth game of the season-long road trip

For the first time during the road trip, the Colorado Avalanche had the entire team meet at the arena on the morning of the game. While the club didn't hold an official morning skate, it did hold meetings at the home rink of the Buffalo Sabres.
