There will be new lower price for the authentic jerseys as fans will be able to get the same sweater the players wear for a lot cheaper than before. The retail price for the new blank adidas authentic sweaters is $180, a $109 savings from what the cost was for an authentic Reebok RBK Edge jersey ($289). The old replica Reebok blank sweaters were priced at $129.
Select Avalanche player jerseys will be available at Altitude Authentics in the near future. Priced at $240, the new adidas authentic name and number uniforms are only $20 more than what the store sold the old Reebok replica sweaters for. The Reebok authentic jerseys had cost $379.
Colorado's new practice jerseys will also be on sale at Altitude Authentics on Sept. 15 for only $129.
The authentic jerseys are constructed with modern technology to be lighter, cooler and stronger.
When compared to the old Reebok jersey, adidas notes that the new uniform is 19 percent lighter weight, 133 percent more permeable to maximize air flow circulation, 27 percent stronger in burst testing and up to 72 percent tougher in abrasion tests.
Colorado's new sweater is a modern take on the iconic jersey from the club's inaugural season in Denver
. The sweater's signature hemlines portray the Rocky Mountain landscape and the bold silver trim pays homage to the state's silver mining history. The Colorado state flag-inspired "C" mark on the shoulder returns, while the numbers and wordmark are influenced by the original font but provides a clearer arena and broadcast experience.
The Avalanche will continue to wear burgundy and blue for home games and don white and burgundy on the road.
