Monday's Practice Notes

by Aaron Lopez / Colorado Avalanche
Defenseman Adam Foote (head) and goaltender Craig Anderson (knee) were both on the ice this morning prior to the Avalanche’s practice at Family Sports Center.

Foote, who last played on Oct. 21 against San Jose, skated by himself and also did a little bit of shooting before leaving the ice.

At the same time Foote was skating, Anderson was also briefly on the ice. Anderson wore his full goalie equipment for the first time since he sustained his knee injury on Oct. 26 in Vancouver, but he didn’t face any shots. Avalanche head coach Joe Sacco offered up a brief update on the pair’s health.

“Both guys continue to make progress and that’s the most important thing,” said Sacco.

Jones Questionable, Wilson Out
David Jones, who missed Saturday’s contest against the Dallas Stars with a hand injury, skated with the rest of his teammates today. The forward wore an orange non-contact jersey, and it’s not yet known whether he’ll be able to play on Tuesday when the Calgary Flames come to Pepsi Center for a 7:30 p.m. tilt.

“He didn’t participate in any of the contact drills, so I’d say he’s doubtful to questionable for tomorrow,” said Sacco.

Sacco also noted that defenseman Ryan Wilson will remain sidelined for a week or so due to the leg injury he’s been dealing with.

Wilson played in the Avalanche’s first 11 games of the season and recorded a pair of assists, but the blueliner has missed Colorado’s past two games with the injury.
