Avalanche defenseman John-Michael Liles will be sidelined for approximately two weeks after suffering a shoulder injury during Tuesday night’s contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Liles left the game in the second period after taking a hit in Colorado’s defensive zone. The blueliner skated off the ice under his own power, but did not return to the game.
Liles’ injury will not require surgery. He will stay with the team on its current road trip and will continue treatment on the shoulder.
The Avalanche returns to action Thursday night with a contest against the Montreal Canadiens (5:30 p.m. MT/Altitude HD).
