Avalanche defenseman John-Michael Liles has been activated from the injured reserve list and is expected to be in Colorado’s lineup tonight against the San Jose Sharks (8:30 p.m. MT/Altitude).
Liles injured his shoulder during an Oct. 13 contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs after absorbing a hit in Colorado’s defensive zone. He skated off the ice under his own power, but did not return to the game. The Indianapolis native was placed on the injured reserve list on Oct. 22 (retroactive to Oct. 13).
The blueliner appeared in each of Colorado’s first six games this season. At the time of his injury, Liles ranked second among club defensemen and was tied for fourth overall on the team with five points (2g/3a).
