Leopold Activated From IR

by Staff Writer / Colorado Avalanche
Defenseman Jordan Leopold was activated from the IR on Friday and made his Avalanche debut on Saturday night in Vancouver.

Leopold played nearly 19 minutes (18:56) against the Canucks and recorded one shot on net in Colorado's 2-1 loss.

Leopold missed the first 25 games of the season following off-season hernia surgery performed on Aug. 1.

The 26-year old was acquired from Calgary, along with Calgary's second round choice in the 2006 Entry Draft (Codey Burki) and a conditional second round pick in either the 2007 or 2008 Entry Draft, in exchange for Alex Tanguay on June 24.
