Canada gained its first lead of the contest during the second period when Julien Gauthier gave the team a 3-2 advantage. Dylan Strome and Gauthier both scored in the final frame to give Canada the victory. Colorado Avalanche prospect Tyson Jost had an assist on the final goal of the night. Goaltender Adam Werner did not dress in the match. Canada plays rival Team USA on Thursday at 6 p.m. MT for the gold. Sweden plays Russia at 1:30 p.m. MT for the bronze medal. Both games will be at Bell Centre in Montreal.
