Jones' OT Winner Named Top Play

by Colorado Avalanche / Colorado Avalanche
Winger David Jones earned Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors for the Jan. 14-20 timeframe with his second overtime goal of the 2010-11 season.

Jones' game-winning tally against the Vancouver Canucks earned 57.02% of the fan voting, beating out John-Michael Liles' goal against Vancouver (29.75%) and Milan Hejduk's tally versus Minnesota (13.23%).

The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans. Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.
