David Jones' cross-ice pass to Milan Hejduk was named the Avalanche's Play of the Week for the Nov. 20-26 timeframe.
The play earned 39.89% of the vote, topping a Ryan Wilson breakaway goal (31.15%) and Craig Anderson's sprawling save against Philadelphia (28.96%).
The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.
Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.
Jones Cross-Ice To Hejduk – 11/25 vs. Nashville – 39.89% Milan Hejduk’s team-leading 11th goal of the season tied the Avalanche with the Predators, 2-2. Defenseman Kyle Quincey dumped the puck into the offensive zone, where it eventually ended up on the stick of forward David Jones. Seeing Hejduk open on the opposite side of the ice, Jones threaded a pass over to his linemate for the score.
