Hensick Voted To All-CCHA Second Team

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Avalanche prospect T.J. Hensick of the University of Michigan was chosen for the All-CCHA second team, the league announced on Thursday.

The junior forward leads the Wolverines with 47 points and 33 assists in 2005-06. His 14 goals are third-best on the U-M roster. In CCHA play, Hensick finished in a tie for fifth in the league scoring race with 32 points in 28 games. Nationally, he ranks tied for 13th in points (47) and tied for fifth in assists (33). He was an All-CCHA first team selection in both 2003-04 and 2004-05. Also, as a freshman in 2003-04 he was the CCHA Rookie of the Year and named to the CCHA All-Rookie team.

The No. 14-ranked Wolverines begin the CCHA playoff season this weekend (March 10-12) when they host Ferris State in a best-of-three quarterfinal-round series at Yost Ice Arena.
