Rookie forward Cody McLeod
has made a solid impact in his brief time with the Avalanche. Signed by Colorado as a free agent on July 6, 2006, McLeod spent the 2006-07 season with the American Hockey League’s Albany River Rats before beginning this year with the Lake Erie Monsters.
After being recalled by the Avalanche in December, McLeod has displayed a high-energy, physical game and showed off his offensive touch by scoring two goals in his first six contests with Colorado.
You’ve seen what he can do on the ice, now here’s your chance to get to know Cody McLeod
.He doesn’t enjoy basking in the sunlight
The worst job I had was shingling roofs. I did it for four years, from the time I was 14 years old until I was about 18. I was in the sun all day carrying shingles and putting them on roofs. It was an awful job, just terrible. The comfort of home
I loved growing up in Manitoba. Hanging out with all your buddies, it’s just home. I come from a small town and it’s really quiet. Every night in the wintertime we’d have a huge road hockey game. It was awesome. We’d play for hours out there. We’ll call it a “gross” misconduct
The one food I can’t stand? Liver is pretty bad. I remember having to eat it a few times at home when I was young, but wouldn’t touch it.Some people might say it qualifies
I don’t really have any hidden talents or anything. I’m just a pretty normal guy. My two front teeth are fake, but that’s not really a talent. He likes to chill…and rock
Away from the rink I like to chill out, listen to music and read sometimes. I like country and old rock; AC/DC and stuff like that. I’m big into 80’s music. He’s an agitator on the ice…but what about off the ice???
I’m pretty much the same. I’m pretty vocal, loud and obnoxious. Well, maybe not obnoxious, but I like to push people’s buttons a little bit.Is that because he likes to push people’s buttons too?
Other than athletes, the person I’d most like to meet is Adam Sandler. He seems like a real beauty.
