The Colorado Avalanche begin a three-game road trip as they take on the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday night.

The Avalanche are coming off of a four game homestand where they posted a 3-1-0 record at Ball Arena in the last week.
Colorado most recently had its win streak was snapped at nine games, its second-longest winning stretch of the season after winning 10-consecutive contests from Jan. 14-30. The Avs are the only team to record two winning streaks of nine+ games this season.
Tonight's contest between Colorado and Seattle is the last matchup between these two clubs in the regular season. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m. MT at Climate Pledge Arena.
The Avalanche look to take two points and sweep the series against the Kraken to own an all time record of 3-0-0 against the opposing club.


COLORADO-SEATTLE CONNECTIONS

Seattle right wing Joonas Donskoi played in Colorado for two seasons before being selected by the Kraken in its expansion draft... Seattle goalie Philipp Grubauer played three seasons for the Avalanche, eventually signing with the Kraken this summer as a free agent for its inaugural season.


HISTORY

The Avalanche and Kraken have only ever matched up twice before, with the advantage going to Colorado, taking home two wins from Seattle. In Wednesday's game against the Kraken, the Avalanche look to sweep the series for the regular season.

Nazem Kadri returned to wearing a normal, full-contact jersey and will join the team on the road trip.. Devon Toews did not travel as he his dealing with some minor ailments.

SCOUTING THE KRAKEN

Most recently, Seattle Kraken rookie forward Matty Beniers scored a goal for a second consecutive game in a 4-2 win against the Ottawa Senators on Monday. The first draft selection in Kraken history, taken with the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, has three points (2G, 1A) in his first three NHL games. He signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Seattle on April 10 after completing his sophomore NCAA season with the University of Michigan Wolverines. The Kraken have won their last two previous games at home this week.
