The Avalanche will get two players back in its lineup tonight.
After today’s practice, it was confirmed that both forward T.J. Galiardi and defenseman John-Michael Liles will suit up when the Avalanche takes on the Vancouver Canucks Friday night at GM Place.
Galiardi (ankle) has missed the past nine games after being injured on Oct. 28 at Calgary. The forward leads the Avalanche and all NHL rookies in short-handed time on ice (3:42 per game). In 13 contests this season, Galiardi has totaled six points (1g/5a).
Liles has sat out Colorado’s previous five contests with a shoulder injury suffered on Nov. 6 vs. Chicago. Tonight’s game will be the defenseman’s 399th in the National Hockey League. In 10 games this season, Liles has recorded five points (2g/3a).
