ColoradoAvalanche.com takes you to Quebec City, Quebec, to follow the Colorado Avalanche peewee hockey team at the 57th annual Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
The Avalanche peewees have returned home from the 57th annual Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament having had the experience of a lifetime. Memories were made that will last forever.
Having represented themselves with the same amount of class that typifies the entire Colorado Organization, the Arapahoe Warriors decided to do something special for their local community. In lieu of holding an end of season party, the kids decided that they would follow Avs forward Matt Duchene's lead, and they registered with St. Baldrick's Foundation to participate in a Brave The Shave event to support finding a cure for pediatric cancer.
After learning about the relationship between Duchene and his friend Haven Anderson, members of the squad signed up to shave their heads at Fado’s Irish Pub on Friday, March 11. They're all a part of Team Tuesday, which is raising money to fund neuroblastoma research in the name of Tuesday Whitt. Whitt lost her battle with the disease in 2009.
Those looking to donate to the Warriors and Team Tuesday can do so via individual donation pages, as well as the team page.
