The recent Sports Corp Football Kickoff Luncheon set a new record with 330 attendees, a full house.

Air Force is coming off an 11-20-1 campaign, but excitement is in the air as the Falcons begin play in the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) with rivals like UConn, Army, RIT and Holy Cross on the slate. AFA plays 17 home games, including visits by Colorado College (Oct.6) and Army (Jan.19-20). Soph Michael Mayra won all-league honors last year, the first freshman at AFA to claim that distinction.

Colorado College finished last season ranked #13 nationally, an NCAA berth, a 24-16-2 overall mark and a record of 15-11-2 in the powerhouse WCHA. The Tigers have lost stars Marty Sertich and Brett Sterling and open with an Oct.1 home exhibition game against the University of Calgary at the World Arena. An Oct.20-21 visit by New Hampshire highlights the non-league schedule. NCAA Frozen Four Champion Wisconsin comes to town on Feb.2-3.
