Draft Order Set For All Rounds

The order of selection for the the 2007 NHL Entry Draft is set. The opening round will take place on Friday, June 22 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio (7 p.m., ET, VERSUS, TSN, RDS, NHL Radio, audio stream). Rounds 2-7 will take place on Saturday, June 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m. EDT
The Colorado Avalanche will have the 14th overall pick in the first round, followed by three second-round choices: 45th, 49th (from Calgary) and 55th (from Anaheim, originally Atlanta's pick). The Avs will also have one pick in the third round (75th or 91st, depending on Tampa Bay) and also one selection in the fourth round (105th), fifth round (135th) and seventh round (195th). Colorado traded its sixth round pick to San Jose in exchange for defenseman Michael Vernace on June 1, 2006.

Pick 15 (NY Islanders to Edmonton): Edmonton traded LW Ryan Smyth to New York Islanders for C Ryan O'Marra, C Robert Nilsson and the Islanders' 1st-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft (Feb. 27, 2007).

Pick 16 (Tampa Bay to Anaheim): Anaheim traded D Shane O'Brien and a 3rd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Tampa Bay for G Gerald Coleman and Tampa Bay's 1st-round pick in 2007 (Feb. 24, 2007).

Pick 21 (Dallas to Phoenix): Dallas traded LW Mathias Tjarnqvist and its 1st-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Phoenix for LW Ladislav Nagy (Feb. 12, 2007).

Pick 22 (San Jose to Montreal): Montreal traded D Craig Rivet and its 5th-round pick in 2008 to San Jose for D Josh Gorges and San Jose's 1st-round pick in 2007 (Feb. 25, 2007).

Pick 23 (Nashville to Philadelphia): Philadelphia traded C Peter Forsberg to Nashville for LW Scottie Upshall, D Ryan Parent and Nashville's 1st- and 3rd-round round picks in the 2007 Entry Draft (Feb. 15, 2007).

Pick 24 (Atlanta to St. Louis): St. Louis traded LW Keith Tkachuk to Atlanta for C Glen Metropolit, its 1st- and 3rd-round picks in 2007, 2nd-round pick in 2008 and a conditional 1st-round pick in 2008 (if Atlanta re-signs Tkachuk for 2007-08) (Feb. 25, 2007).

Pick 26 (New Jersey to San Jose to St. Louis)

Pick 30 (Anaheim to Edmonton): Edmonton traded D Chris Pronger to Anaheim for RW Joffrey Lupul, D Ladislav Smid and Anaheim's 1st-round picks in the 2007 and 2008 Entry Drafts (July 3, 2006).
