Altitude Sports & Entertainment has launched Altitude HD full-time on Comcast Cable throughout Colorado. Altitude HD is now available in 1080i format with 5.1-channel Dolby surround sound. In addition to Avalanche and Nuggets game coverage, Altitude’s full-time HD channel will carry all regular network programs with enhanced quality. The launch of Altitude HD has taken place in conjunction with Comcast’s high-definition upgrades and new Xfinity service offerings.
“By adding new HD channels like Altitude and giving our customers Comcast XFINITY TV, Internet and Voice, Comcast continues to invest in Colorado to bring the best in entertainment and communications services to our local customers,” said Chris Shea, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Comcast’s Mile High Region. “Our digital enhancements throughout the state will allow us to provide the top HD entertainment and the most innovative products and services.”

Seen in more than 3.1 million homes in a 10 state territory, Altitude is the television home of the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Eagles, the Big Sky Conference, ESPN Syndication (including Big 12 Conference and Western Athletic Conference events), as well as other local and regional sports, entertainment and public affairs programming.
