The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Calgary Flames 5-1 on Friday night in Game 5 to win the first-round series 4-1.
Round 2 tickets for Games 3, 4 and 6 (if necessary) at Pepsi Center are on sale now at

Colin Wilson (two goals, one assist), Mikko Rantanen (two goals, one assist), Tyson Barrie (three assists) and Nathan MacKinnon (three assists) each had three points in the series-clinching game. Philipp Grubauer also made 28 of 29 saves in the outing to help Colorado advance.
It was the first-ever meeting between the Avs and Flames in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It leaves only the Winnipeg Jets, who relocated from Atlanta prior to the 2011-12 season, and Vegas Golden Knights, who are in their second NHL season, as the only Western Conference teams who have not yet faced Colorado in the playoffs.
The trip to the second round marks the first time that Colorado has reached Round 2 of the postseason since 2008. The Avs are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the second year in a row, making back-to-back appearances in the playoffs for the first time since 11 straight trips from 1994-95 to 2005-06.
The Avalanche will face either the San Jose Sharks or Vegas Golden Knights in the Second Round. Vegas currently leads that series 3-2 and will host the Sharks at T-Mobile Arena in Game 6 on Sunday.
