DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club's annual charity golf tournament held at The Ridge at Castle Pines North reached the $750,000 plateau with Thursday's event raising over $75,000.
"This event has always been very popular and is one of our biggest fund raisers," said Deb Dowling-Canino, Vice President of Community Relations for Kroenke Sports Enterprises. "Each year it's a great way to kick off our community relations efforts prior to the start of the Avalanche season. We are proud of our involvement in the community and the continued efforts by the Avalanche players to make every event a success."
Last year, the Avalanche was able to announce reaching the impressive mark of $11 million raised for their community charity fund since the club's arrival in Denver in 1995.
