Burgundy/White Game Set For Sept. 15

by Colorado Avalanche / Colorado Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team will hold its annual Burgundy/White Game on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Cadet Ice Arena on the grounds of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Puck drop is scheduled for 12 p.m.

This marks the fifth time overall that the Air Force Academy has hosted the event. Air Force welcomed the Burgundy/White Game for three straight years from 2007-09 and then again in 2011.

The Burgundy/White Game features all Avalanche players competing in a three-period, intra-squad scrimmage. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to watch a shootout at the end of regulation, regardless of the score.

Tickets for the game go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, July 24) through Air Force’s official website, www.GoAirForceFalcons.com, or by calling 800-666-USAF (8723). Prices range from $15 for military personnel to $22 for the general public. For more information, please contact the Air Force Academy box office at 800-666-USAF (8723) or visit www.GoAirForceFalcons.com.

Proceeds from this year’s Burgundy/White game will be used by Kroenke Sports Charities to support non-profit groups, including military organizations.

Update: Reserved seating is sold out. Standing room only tickets are still available for $12.
