by - Official Site of the Colorado Avalanche / Colorado Avalanche
Netminder Peter Budaj earned Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors for the April 3-9 timeframe with a tremendous save on San Jose's Jeremy Roenick. The stop earned 51.11% of fan voting this week.

T.J. Galiardi's tally on April 5 against Vancouver finished at 32.80%, while Chris Stewart's tip-in goal on April 9 versus Dallas came in at 16.10%

Budaj's save now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.

The Avalanche's final "Play of the Week" contest will begin Tuesday, April 14 and run through Friday, April 17. Next Monday, will begin its "Play of the Year" tournament.

Budaj Robs Roenick – 4/7 @ San Jose
With just under a minute remaining in regulation and the game still scoreless, Peter Budaj made a big stop on San Jose’s Jeremy Roenick. On a Sharks’ power play, Roenick found himself all alone in front of the Colorado goal. However, Budaj was able to stop the point-blank attempt to send the game to overtime.
