Let your voice be heard in selecting Colorado’s “Play of the Week” each week during the season.
Plays by T.J. Galiardi, John-Michael Liles and Andrew Raycroft are this week's nominees.
We’ve offered up three choices, and now it's your turn to choose the top play by voting on the poll below or on the homepage of ColoradoAvalanche.com. At the end of the season, a bracket-style tournament will be held to determine – once again, through fan voting – the Avalanche’s “Play of the Year”.
Check out this week’s three nominees, and be sure to vote for your favorite by Monday at 12:00 p.m. MT.
Galiardi’s First Goal – 3/27 vs. Vancouver T.J. Galiardi potted his first career NHL goal against the Vancouver Canucks. Stationed behind the Vancouver net, Ian Laperriere made a feed into the slot to Galiardi. The rookie forward buried a shot that beat Canucks netminder Jason LaBarbera high to his glove side at the 13:25 mark of the opening period.
Liles Ties It Up – 3/29 @ Anaheim Defenseman John-Michael Liles pulled the Avs even with the Anaheim Ducks, 1-1, on a power-play goal in the first period. After a battle for the puck in the right corner, T.J. Hensick came up with it and slid a pass to Liles, who wristed a shot past Jonas Hiller for his 11th goal of the campaign.
Raycroft Stops Lombardi – 4/1 vs. Phoenix Andrew Raycroft made a nice stop early in the third period to keep the Avalanche within striking distance of the Phoenix Coyotes. With his team down 1-0, Raycroft snared a high, hard shot attempt from the slot by Matthew Lombardi.
