Paul Stastny, Peter Budaj and Ryan Smyth are this week's nominees.
We’ve offered up three choices, and now it's your turn to choose the top play by voting on the poll below or on the homepage of ColoradoAvalanche.com. At the end of the season, a bracket-style tournament will be held to determine – once again, through fan voting – the Avalanche’s “Play of the Year”.

Stastny Cuts In – 3/14 @ Edmonton Paul Stastny put the Avs ahead of the Oilers early in the third period with this power-play goal. After gaining the puck at the blue line and avoiding a Denis Grebeshkov hip check, Stastny cut toward the middle and beat Dwayne Roloson with a well-placed wrister.
Budaj’s Breakaway Stop – 3/14 @ Edmonton Edmonton’s Ales Hemsky found himself in a one-on-one battle with Peter Budaj after receiving a long outlet feed from Denis Grebeshkov. However, Budaj was up to the test, stretching out his right pad to stop the Oiler forward on a breakaway attempt.
Smyth Tips One In - 3/15 @ Vancouver Ryan Smyth’s goal against the Vancouver Canucks came in typical fashion for the 14-year NHL veteran. Smyth set up shop in front of goaltender Roberto Luongo and tipped home a Ruslan Salei drive from just inside the blue line. The goal was his 25th of the season and 10th on the power play.
