by Staff Writer / Colorado Avalanche
DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Tuesday that it has sent forward prospect Chris Stewart back to his junior club in Kingston, Ontario. Stewart was the club's first selection (18th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft.

This move brings the Avalanche training camp roster down to 30 players.

The 18-year old Stewart participated in three preseason games with the Avalanche, recording no points with four shots-on-goal. He will return to the Kingston Frontenace of the Ontario Hockey League where he ranked second on the team with 87 points (37g/50a) in 2005-06.
