DALLAS (AP) -- Pierre Turgeon scored twice against his former team Saturday night as Colorado beat Dallas 4-3 in the preseason finale for both teams.
Andrew Brunette added a goal and an assist and Joe Sakic also had two assists for Colorado (4-0-2).
Dallas (4-4-0) had 29 shots to 17 for the Avalanche.
Turgeon's second goal came on a breakaway at 9:52 in the second period when he took a pass from Wojtek Wolski and flicked a shot from outside the crease for a 3-2 Avalanche lead. Turgeon played the previous three seasons in Dallas but was let go after the lockout ended.
The goal capped a spurt of three goals in 1:15 of the second period. Dallas' Stephane Robidas scored at 8:37 with assists from Niko Kapanen and Bill Guerin. Robidas finished with a goal and two assists, and Kapanen had a goal and an assist.
Robidas' goal gave Dallas a 2-1 lead, but Brunette tied it 28 seconds later. Jason Krog scored Colorado's third goal of the period on a power play at 15:40.
Stars rookie Jussi Jokinen scored his fifth goal of the preseason with 2:54 left in the game to draw Dallas within one.
Turgeon's first goal came on the power play at 17:10 in the first period with assists from Sakic and Brunette.
Jere Lehtinen (groin), Jason Arnott (groin) and Brenden Morrow (foot) were scratches for the Stars. All three are questionable for the team's opener Wednesday against Los Angeles.
