Sven Andrighetto Montreal Canadiens

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has acquired forward Sven Andrighetto from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for forward Andreas Martinsen.

Andrighetto, 23, has eight points (two goals, six assists) in 27 games for the Canadiens this season. Montreal's sixth pick (third round, 86th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Andrighetto has totaled 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 83 career NHL contests. A Zurich, Switzerland, native, he played two seasons for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2011-13.
Martinsen, 26, has registered three goals and seven points in 55 games for the Avalanche this season. On Feb. 9, he became the fifth Norwegian-born player to play 100 contests in the NHL and his seven career goals rank third all-time amongst Norwegian-born players.
