DUCHENE'S BIG GAME: Matt Duchene tied a career high with three assists in Colorado's 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. His three helpers are the most by an Avalanche player this season and the most since Tyson Barrie notched three on Nov. 3, 2015 vs. Calgary. Duchene's 20 faceoff wins in the game was the second most of his career. His 83.3-percent success rate sets a new career high and is the fourth highest in Avalanche history (min: 20 faceoffs taken) since the stat began tracking in 1999-2000.

Grimaldi leads San Antonio with 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) in 46 appearances this season.

"That is definitely the type of play that we need out of him. I thought he was outstanding tonight. Not just that hit, but he had three or four big hits and [was] defensively sound, making good decisions. That is what we're hoping to see out of that player. I know he's not going to get four, five big hits every night, but he can certainly play physical like that." - Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar on the play of defenseman Nikita Zadorov in Colorado's 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday
