Thursday, November 16 vs. Washington Capitals

Pepsi Center, 7 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM
The Avalanche returns to Pepsi Center for the first time since Nov. 2, hosting the Washington Capitals for the first of two meetings this season. Thursday's contest also wraps up a stretch of six-straight games against Eastern Conference opponents. The Avs dropped both games against the Capitals in the 2016-17 campaign.

Saturday, November 18 at Nashville Predators

Bridgestone Arena, 6 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM
Colorado travels to Music City for the second and final time this season in the second of four total games against the Predators. After this weekend, the Central Division foes won't meet again until March, where the Avs will host Nashville twice. The Preds took the first matchup by a 4-1 score on Oct. 17.

Sunday, November 19 at Detroit Red Wings
Little Caesars Arena, 4 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM
The Avs make their first-ever visit to Little Caesars Arena when they take on the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. It's the second game of a back-to-back series for the Avalanche, the fifth of 11 such sets in 2017-18.

The annual
Mile High Dreams Gala, a Toast to Our Teams,
will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 15, and gives fans the opportunity to mix and mingle with Colorado Avalanche players, coaches, alumni, ice girls and mascot Bernie. The event features food tastings from Denver's best restaurants, a variety of libations, live music, photo stations, casino games and much more with proceeds benefitting the community programs supported by Kroenke Sports Charities.

Player Update: Erik Johnson

Johnson recorded a season-high 30:02 of ice time against the Ottawa Senators in Sweden on Friday, Nov. 10, the second-highest total of his career (30:25, Nov. 15, 2014 at New Jersey). Johnson ranks fifth in the league in average ice time (26:38), while his 32.94 shifts per game paces all NHL skaters.

Prospect Update

Rampage goaltender Spencer Martin was named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week on Monday. Martin stopped 73 of the 74 shots he faced over two starts last week, backstopping the Rampage to back-to-back road wins. He finished wiht a 2-0-0 record, 0.50 goals-against average and .986 save percentage over the weekend. On Friday night in Rockford, Martin turned aside all 39 IceHogs shots for his first shutout of the season and earned first-star honors in San Antonio's 6-0 victory. On Saturday night, Martin made 34 saves to help the Rampage to a 2-1 triumph in Chicago, giving San Antonio the second-best record in the entire Western Conference at week's end.
