The Avalanche plays its first game of 2018 against the Central Division-leading Winnipeg Jets, the second of four matchups this season. Colorado won the first meeting, 3-2 in overtime on Nov. 29 at Pepsi Center.

Thursday, January 4 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

Columbus makes its only trip to the Mile High City on Thursday, the first of four contests for the Avs against an Eastern Conference opponent in January. Colorado was 1-1-0 against the Blue Jackets last season.

Saturday, January 6 vs. Minnesota Wild

The Avalanche wraps up its season-long, six-game homestand against the division-rival Minnesota Wild. It's the second of four matchups between the teams this season. The Wild won the first one, 3-2 in a shootout on Nov. 24 at Xcel Energy Center.

Saturday, January 13 at Dallas Stars

Colorado returns from its mandatory five-day bye week and will face the Dallas Stars for the fifth and final time of the 2017-18 campaign. The Avs are 2-2-0 against Dallas this season.

Monday, January 15 vs. Anaheim Ducks

Colorado hosts the Ducks in the second of three matchups between the dlubs this season. The Avs won 3-1 on Oct. 13 and will play in Anaheim on April 1 to close out the 2017-18 series.

Player Spotlight: Carl Soderberg

Soderberg registered his first career multi-goal game against the Arizona Coyotes on Dec. 23 and had another multi-point night against the Islanders on Sunday, notching a goal and an assist. He finished the month of December with nine points (four goals, five assists), which ranks fourth on the team for the month.
