Semyon Varlamov Nashville Predators 2017 November 18

The Colorado Avalanche hosts the Nashville Predators this afternoon at Pepsi Center in the third game of the season series between the Central Division clubs and the first meeting in Denver.
Colorado goaltender Semyon Varlamov is expected to get the start in net for an eighth consecutive game and play in his 10th straight contest. Varlamov made 31 saves on Friday in the Avs' 7-1 win over the Minnesota Wild and is 4-1-1 in his last six starts.

Avalanche forward Colin Wilson is doubtful to play against his former team after he wasn't able to finish the contest versus the Wild with an upper-body injury. He didn't take part in the team's optional practice on Saturday.
"He's OK. He's going through concussion protocol," said Colorado head coach Jared Bednar of Wilson on Saturday. "He's feeling better this morning. It's a waiting game on him too now."
Right wing Nail Yakupov will likely get back in the lineup with Wilson out, but on which forward combination will probably not be known until closer to game time. Yakupov has been a healthy scratch for the last four contests.
Below is a possible lineup for Colorado, with Yakupov or J.T. Compher slated in Wilson's former spot on a line with rookies Tyson Jost and Alexander Kerfoot. Compher finished Friday's game with Jost and Kerfoot after Wilson left in the second period.
All line combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.

The Avs are on a three-game winning streak, the fourth time this season they have won at least three in a row.
Colorado and Nashville finish their four-game season series on March 16 in Denver.
