Nathan MacKinnon Los Angeles Kings 2018 March 22

The Colorado Avalanche returns home from its season-long, five-game road trip today with a game against the Los Angeles Kings.
The outing opens the Avs longest homestand of the season, a five-game stay that will be broken up by the NHL All-Star Break and the Avalanche's bye week.

The matchup with the Kings is the first of six afternoon contests at Pepsi Center this campaign and the first of two straight as Colorado hosts the Nashville Predators at 1 p.m. on Monday.
Colorado did not have a morning skate today due to the day game contest, so the club's exact lineup versus the Kings won't be known until closer to game time.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup based on the forward combinations and defensive pairings from Colorado's practice on Friday. They are subject to change.
