Avalanche to Hold Rookie Camp in September

by Staff Writer / Colorado Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that it will hold a four-day rookie camp September 8-11 at the South Suburban Family Sports Center in Centennial, Colo.

A total of 27 players will be attending the camp, which includes some of the 2007 draftees along with recently signed prospects.

“The rookie camp will allow our hockey staff to evaluate the young players on their own before they begin training with the veteran group,” said Avalanche Director of Player Development Craig Billington. “It will also give our prospects additional on-ice sessions with our coaching staff.”

The Avalanche rookie camp is free and open to the public. Workouts will take place in the morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (times subject to change).  The Avalanche will announce the full schedule and roster of its regular training camp next week.  Listed below are the 27 players that will participate in the rookie camp.
