The Colorado Avalanche announced today that the club has agreed to terms with left wing Wojtek Wolski (VOY-teck VOHL-skee).
Colorado's first-round pick (21st overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Wolski has spent the last three seasons with Brampton of the Ontario Hockey League. He led Brampton in scoring for the second straight season in 2004-05, compiling a career high 73 points (29 goals, 44 assists). A native of Zabrze, Poland, Wolski was named to the OHL's First All-Star Team in 2003-04 after notching 70 points (29g, 41a).
"Wojtek is a very gifted young prospect and he has a bright future in front of him," said Avalanche President and General Manager Pierre Lacroix. "We are anxious to see him play in the upcoming exhibition games, but so far this week, he has shown us tremendous capabilities."
