Avalanche Signs Free Agent Prospect
by Staff Writer / Colorado AvalancheThe Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Friday that it has signed 30-year old free agent forward prospect Jaroslav Hlinka to a one-year contract.
The 5-10, 185-pound native of Prague, Czech Republic has spent his entire career playing primarily in the Czech Republic league in addition to stops in the Swiss and Russian leagues.
He was a member of Czech Republic’s World Championship Teams 2006 and 2007 where he compiled six points in nine games (2g/4a) and seven points in seven games (3g/4a) respectively.
“Jaroslav was the top scorer in the Czech league last season and we’re looking forward to watching him in our upcoming training camp,” said Avalanche Assistant General Manager Greg Sherman.
