The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has recalled forward Matt Hendricks from the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Hendricks, 27, is Lake Erie’s fourth-leading scorer with 23 points (12g/11a) despite playing less than half (32) of the club’s 66 games. He missed 12 weeks of action after suffering a broken foot while blocking a shot on Oct. 25 at Peoria. The Blaine, Minn., native has 10 points (7g/3a) in his last eight games, including seven goals in his last seven contests. He recorded five points (4g/1a) in three victories this past weekend.
Hendricks was acquired by the Avalanche from Boston on June 24, 2008.
