Avalanche Recalls Brad Richardson

DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado Avalanche announced Sunday that the club has recalled center Brad Richardson from Lowell of the American Hockey League. The 20-year-old will be making his NHL debut.

Richardson has spent all of this season with the Lowell Lock Monsters, recording three goals and 10 assists in 17 games. He ranks fourth on the team in points (13) and tied for third in assists.

Colorado's fourth selection (163rd overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft, Richardson played the previous four seasons with Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League (2001-02 to 2004-05). He finished runner-up for the OHL's Most Outstanding Player Award in 2004-05 after posting 41 goals and 56 assists in his final year for the Attack.
