Avalanche Presents $193,000 To Local Charities

The Colorado Avalanche Community Fund presented an impressive total of $193,000 to eight local charities prior to the Avalanche's game versus the Tampa Bay Lightning on Jan. 5.
Avalanche captain Joe Sakic joined Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper along with representatives from eight local charities in a pre-game check presentation. In support of the Mayor's Denver Road Home Program, the Colorado Avalanche Community Fund, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation is proud to support these agencies which provide programs and services for the homeless in our community.
Since its inception, the Colorado Avalanche Community Fund has granted over $11 million to hundreds of Colorado non-profit agencies.

Jeffco Action Center
Jewish Family Services
Metro CareRing
YWCA of Boulder
