Check out this week’s three nominees, and be sure to vote for your favorite by Monday at 12:00 p.m. MT.
Hejduk Shows Poise – 10/20 at Los Angeles After a Los Angeles giveaway ended up on his stick near the blue line, Hejduk’s patience was on full display as he waited for Kings defenseman Denis Gauthier Jr. to drop down to one knee before moving around him and firing a shot by Jason LaBarbera.
Smyth Dangles – 10/20 at Los Angeles Smyth scored his second goal of the game against the Kings by deftly stickhandling past rookie defenseman Drew Doughty and cutting toward the net before flipping a backhander past LaBarbera while falling to the ice.
Budaj Comes Through - 10/23 vs. Edmonton The Avalanche netminder came up big in Thursday’s win over the Oilers, especially during this sequence five minutes into the opening period. After denying Tom Gilbert, Budaj also stopped two attempts by Sam Gagner during a flurry of action around the crease.
