Voting ends on Monday, Oct. 25 at 3:00 p.m. MT, so be sure to cast your ballot today!
Stewart’s Tip-In – 10/18 @ NY Rangers
Chris Stewart scored a pair of power-play goals against the Rangers, with this tally opening the game’s scoring in a 3-1 Colorado victory. While the Avs were holding a man-advantage, Stewart created traffic in front of the net and then tipped a John-Michael Liles shot past New York goaltender Henrik Lundqvist for his fourth goal of the season. Anderson’s Recovery – 10/18 @ NY Rangers
The Avalanche and Rangers were tied at 1-1 when Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson misplayed the puck, but quickly made up for it with a huge save to keep the game all squared. After the Rangers dumped the puck behind the Avalanche net, Anderson quickly settled it and then played it to the right half wall. New York forward Brandon Dubinsky was able to beat Kyle Quincey to the loose puck and quickly put a shot on goal, but Anderson slid across his crease in time to make the stop. Cumiskey’s Blast – 10/21 vs. San Jose
Kyle Cumiskey scored his first goal of the season against the Sharks after capitalizing on a miscue by goalie Antero Niittymaki. The Sharks netminder attempted to play the puck behind his net, but when he shot it off the end boards it came straight out to Chris Stewart near the front of the goal. Niittymaki poke checked it away from Stewart and into the high slot, where Cumiskey swooped in and deposited it into the back of the net with a slap shot.
